Fun garter details add a bit of visual interest to this casual unisex pullover. There are two versions of this sweater in every pattern.  Women’s sizes include waist shaping and a faux pocket at the hip, while unisex sizes are a straight knit from underarm to hem with a faux chest pocket. Construction is a variation of the top-down, seamless, simultaneous set-in sleeve method described by Barbara Walker in Knitting From the Top.

Fingering (held double) and Light Worsted/Heavy DK weight yarns are recommended for Stonehaven! The grey sweater shown was knit with doubled fingering weight which turns out to be somewhere in the DK/worsted range. Anything you can get gauge with is fine!

DESIGNER RECOMMENDED YARN:  Cascade 220 by Cascade Yarns (100% Wool; 220yds): 6 (7, 8, 8, 9, 10)  Skeins.  Shown in Cordovan.

ALTERNATE WORSTED YARN: Rios by Malabrigo (100% Superwash Merino Wool; 100g/210yds): 7 (7, 8, 9, 10, 10) Skeins.  Gorgeous, variegated yarn that is kettle-dyed in Uruguay in small batches.  Available in subtle variegations to distinct color shifts which create a lovely mottled garment. 

ALTERNATE WORSTED YARN: Woolstok by Blue Sky Fibers (100% Fine Highland Peruvian Wool; 50g/123yds): 11 (12, 14, 15, 16, 17)  Skeins.  We will substitute 150g skeins if available.  This heathered yarn has a great hand and is available in a huge array of colors.  PRE-ORDER now available in all colors. SKILL LEVEL: Intermediate - Long-tail and backwards-loop cast-on, tacking down live stitches on collar
