Malabrigo - Merino Worsted

This is it, the original Worsted that made Malabrigo an international favorite! A buttery-soft single ply of fine Uruguayan Merino wool, this yarn has excellent stitch definition, comes in solids, semisolids, and variegated colors, and is deliciously squishy and cozy. It’s also fantastic for felting projects! Merino Worsted, like all Malabrigo yarn, is kettle-dyed in small batches with by our artisan dyers and is full of subtle variation and beauty.  Use it for accessories and hand-wash-friendly garments, next-to-skin wear, cables, textured stitches, colorwork, felting, and anything that requires warmth and comfort!

Be sure to get enough yarn to complete your project since each skein may vary from the next. To ensure random color distribution, work from two balls of yarn at once, alternating a few rows from each ball.  For ball winding services click here.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS: Hand wash in cold water.

Azul Profundo - variegated royal blue with touches of navy

Black - pure black 

Black Forest - charcoal black over ecru.  not pure black

Brilliante - splotches of purple, blue, burgundy, lavender, blood red & ecru

Continental Blue - bright sky blue

Cuarzo - variegated dark purple with undertones of rose

Damask - variegated dark rose with taupe 

Emerald - dark teal with lighter tones throughout

Forest - variegated with evergreen, hunter green, bright green

Frank Ochre - dark yellow with green & orange undertones

Lettuce - vibrant lime green

Mint - pale green with blue undertones

Natural - ecru

Pale Khaki - blush tones over ecru

Paris Night - variegated Navy and dark purple 

Periwinkle - variegated bluish purple with splashes of ecru peeking through

Polar Morn - pale blue with purple undertones

Pollen - light yellow

Polvoriento -  variegated lavender, rose, brown & taupe

Praline - medium tan - this color has been discontinued and cannot be restocked

Ravelry Red - bright blood red

Rhodesian - variegated burnt orange, slightly darker than pumpkin

Sauterne - variegated bright sunshine yellow with pale orange

Sealing Wax - variegated blood red hinting towards brown

Shocking Pink - bright pink

Stone Blue - variegated slate blue

Sweet Grape - pure dark purple very similar to a concord grape

Water Green - light green with blue undertones

A note on Special Order Colors: You may select any current color from the Malabrigo catalog.  Yarn Loop will verify its availability (in-stock or backordered) and the estimated arrival date via email.  If an item is backordered, you will have the option to receive a full refund or to wait for the item.  There is no upcharge on Special Order colors.
