Fidra is a quick and fun knit combining garter stitch and stockinette textures with some yarn over holes for further decoration (and a little ventilation)! As always the pom pom is optional!

DESIGNER RECOMMENDED YARN: Quarry by Brooklyn Tweed (100% Targhee-Columbia Wool; 100g/200yds): 1 Skein. Shown in Color Gypsum. 100% USA Wool. Made in USA

ALTERNATE YARN: Falkland Chunky by Queensland Collection  (100% Falkland Wool; 100g/131 yds): 2 Skeins. This organic yarn comes from the famed Falkland Islands, known for its humane treatment of sheep, their pristine fleeces and the resulting soft yarn.  Falkland Chunky is an easy care yarn that uses GOTS certified processes to prevent felting without the harsh chemicals or plastics used to make superwash yarn.

ALTERNATE YARN: Mecha by Malabrigo (100% Superwash Merino Wool; 100g/130 yds): 2 Skeins. The famous kettle dyed colors by Malabrigo have beautiful variegation and is completely washable, too.

ALTERNATE YARN: O-Wash Chunky by O-Wool (100% machine-washable Certified Organic Merino Wool; 100g/105 yds): 2 Skeins.  This merino wool is grown and sheered in South America but spun & dyed in Northeast USA using organic processes to make a beautiful washable merino wool without the harsh chemical treatments. This yarn has been discontinued.

NEEDLES: Size US 9 / 5.5mm 16" circular needle & Size US 10 / 6mm 16" Circular Needle and set Double Points (or large circular for magic loop method), or size needed to obtain gauge
