This lightweight cowl is an easy crochet project to add a layer of warmth to your outfit. Designed to use Malabrigo Sock yarn, but Mechita is a lovely substitute if you prefer a single ply, and Finito made from the softest Uruguayan merino wool can be used with great success as well. This pattern also debuted in the book, Sail Away by Malabrigo.
Be sure to get enough yarn to complete your project since each skein may vary from the next. To ensure random color distribution, work from two balls of yarn at once, alternating a few rows from each ball. For ball winding services click here.

Fingering Weight
RECOMMENDED YARN: Sock by Malabrigo (100% Superwash Merino Wool; 100g/440yds): 2 Skeins. Shown in Cian.
ALTERNATE YARN: Mechita by Malabrigo (100% Superwash Merino Wool; 100g/420 yds): 2 Skeins. Mechita is a single plied, kettle dyed superwash merino yarn from Malabrigo.
ALTERNATE YARN: Finito by Malabrigo (100% Fine Uruguayan Merino Wool; 50g/200 yds): 4 Skeins. Finito is a special treat indeed and made of the absolute finest Uruguayan merino (usually only in limited quantities each year). The individual fibers are nearly as fine as cashmere, and the finished 2-ply fingering-weight yarn has a downy halo of absolute luxury. Finito is truly a joy to knit and wear!
