These fingerless mitts feature stockinette and reverse stockinette separated by a slanting line of twisted stitches which add texture, fit & visual interest. DK, worsted, or aran weight yarn may be used, depending on the size desired and your individual gauge.
Designer Laura Aylor recommends a hand-dyed, plied yarn. The plies add strength to the fibers while preventing pilling. The tighter the twist, the less pilling.

ALTERNATE DK YARN: Arroyo by Malabrigo (100% Superwash Merino Wool; 100g/330yds): 1 Skein. Marte is a highly variegated yarn that is not the same from skein to skein (and the reason for multiple skeins in one photo)

SKILL LEVEL: Intermediate to Advanced-twisted stitches, long tail cast-on
NEEDLES: Size US 6 / 4mm or US 7 / 4.5mm needles; your choice of Double Points, Magic Loop long circular or 2 circular needles, or size needed to obtain gauge
