Mechita is a single-ply yarn, giving a wonderful soft feel with incredible drape and takes hand-dyeing beautifully. The yarn will make stunning shawls, scarves, garments & accessories. Sock is a soft, smoothly plied yarn that has extra stitch definition and strength. While Sock is certainly a treat for the feet, this delightful yarn is also a particular favorite for shawls & scarves.

These luxurious yarns are made from 100% Uruguayan superwash merino wool for easy care. The wool comes from sheep raised in Uruguay, a beautiful country with a long history of hand crafting, and with stunning landscapes that are the insipiraion for Malabrigo's rich and striking palettes. With more than 100 semi-solids and multi-colors in both yarns, including the new impressionist speckled dyes in Mechita, the possiblilities for personalizing your project are endless!
