Dragonfly’s Path is a crescent-shaped shawl with long ends to warm your shoulders or wrap around your neck as a scarf. The body of the shawl is squishy garter stitch, finishing with a simple purl ridge. The edging is reminiscent of a dragonfly flitting along the shore of a lake. The dragonfly's path (a pretty cable) meanders back and forth across a garter-stitch background, creating a softly scalloped edge along the way. Enjoy yourself as you follow your little dragonfly’s adventure!
Fully written instructions are provided, along with three optional charts. The body of Dragonfly’s Path is knitted from the top down. Stitches are regularly added at each end so that the piece grows into a crescent shape. Once the body is complete, a scalloped edging is knitted sideways and attached to the live stitches of the body as you knit. It is recommended to knit with solid or semi-solid fingering yarn because highly variegated colors will hide the delicate edge detailing.

ALTERNATE YARN: O-Wash Fingering by O-Wool (100% Washable Organic Merino Wool; 100g/428yds): 2 (2, 2) Skeins. Colorway Brook Trout matches the images. O-Wash is a special GOTS process that stabilizes the fibers and prevents felting in the natural yarn. It is much gentler than traditional superwash practices and preserves the natural characteristics and hand of the merino wool. ALTERNATE YARN: Sock by Malabrigo (100% Superwash Merino Wool; 100g/440yds): 2 (2, 2) Skeins. Malabrigo uses the kettle-dying process which adds layers and depths of color to each skein. Yarn Loop has specifically removed the most variegated colors from the kit options to comply with the designer's specifications. Made in Uruguay.
