Wyatt by Meghan Babin is a slouchy and simple cabled hat appealing to all; it's worked from the bottom up, starting with an optional tubular cast on for a polished look. The deep knit 2, purl 2 ribbed brim naturally flows into the sweet rope cable and column motif, which stands out against a background of reverse stockinette stitch.  This hat is ready for any modification necessary to suit your needs. Shorten the brim and reduce the length of the body cables for a snug fitting beanie, or add an extra cable section and a pom pom for an adorable winter hat (extra yardage may be required).

The body of the hat is worked in a simple cable and ribbing pattern and integrated decreases shape the crown. Change to double pointed needles when the hat circumference is too small to work on the circular.
