Tweedy Fog is a classic raglan top-down open front cardigan with a generous rib collar and twisted stitch elbow patches. If you are anything like me, your elbows wear out way faster than the rest of the sweater, hence…elbow patches! The simple and classic silhouette is perfect for tweedy, speckled and marled yarns but will look equally great in solids.

The cardi is totally seamless and works up quickly due to its simplicity.   If you are careful about weaving in ends, and use a reversible entrelac pick up method when working on the collar, this cardigan becomes reversible. Cardi pictured has the purled side as the right side but you are free to wear it on the knit side.

Kit includes pattern and selected yarn. For yarn winding services, click here.

DESIGNER RECOMMENDED YARN: Cascade 220 by Cascade Yarns (100% Peruvian Wool; 100g/220yds): 5 (6, 6, 7, 7, 8) Skeins

ALTERNATE YARN: Arroyo by Malabrigo (100% Superwash Merino Wool; 100g/330 yds): 4 (4, 4, 5, 5, 5) Skeins.  Arroyo is kettle-dyed in small batches and has a beautiful variegation of color which can be subtle or quite vibrant depending upon the color.  A speckled colorway will look similar to a tweed but without the nubs.  Please purchase enough yarn to complete your project.  We will hand select skeins to match as closely as possible.  Please note that this is not a tweed yarn.
