Low tide is a magical time of day. Creatures usually hidden below the waves become visible in tidal pools. The lace in this cardigan mimics the organic patterns left in the sand by the ebbing tide. Due to the flyaway front, this pattern is a great bathing suit cover-up! This is one of many patterns from Pacific Knits. Also available in ladies' sizes here.
Tin Can Knits has a wonderful blog full of all sorts of tutorials and images. Please see Choosing Your Sweater Size or go directly to their blog at tincanknits.com.

Light Fingering/Sock or Fingering Weight
DESIGNER RECOMMENDED YARN: Tosh Sock by Madelinetosh (100% Merino Wool; 395 yds): 1 (2, 2) Skeins.
ALTERNATE YARN: Sock by Malabrigo (100% Superwash Merino Wool; 100g/440yds): 1 (1, 2) Skeins. Malabrigo kettle-dyes their yarn to create subtle to striking variegated colors with lovely tonal variations in the finished garment. Easy care and made in Uruguay.
ALTERNATIVE YARN: O-Wash Fingering by O-Wool (100% Washable Certified Organic Merino Wool; 100g/428 yds): 1 (1, 2) Skeins. O-Wash is a GOTS certified compound that holds the fibers of wool in place to prevent felting. It is not superwash due to this gentler methodology, but it is washable and retains all of the properties of wool where superwash usually looses some of its "wooly hand." This yarn has been discontinued and is only available for a limited time. Please click the link above to see what is in-stock.
