The Betangled Cowl is the perfect addition to ShadyStroll Knits patterns.  The project is a warm, luxurious cowl for those coldest days in deep winter. The fabric is completely reversible, with dramatic ribbed cables on a garter-stitch field. This cowl is knitted from one short end to the other, and then the ends are connected with a button closure.  The Betangled Cowl is a fun, satisfying knit with dramatic results especially if worn in white on a snowy, winter's day.

The pattern includes three sizes: a single loop, a longer single loop that can be worn around the shoulders, and a double loop. The circumference of the loop can easily be adjusted as you go. Although the pattern calls for worsted-weight yarn, dk and aran-weight yarns will be equally beautiful.  Fully written instructions are provided, along with an optional chart.

 Worsted/Aran Weight

DESIGNER RECOMMENDED YARN: Merino Worsted by Malabrigo (100% Merino Wool; 100g/210yds): 2 (3, 4) Skeins. Shown in Natural.

DESIGNER RECOMMENDED YARN: Rios by Malabrigo (100% Superwash Merino Wool; 100g/210yds): 2 (3, 4) Skeins.  

DESIGNER RECOMMENDED YARN: Moonshine by Juniper Moon Farm (40% Alpaca / 40% Wool / 20% Silk; 100g/197yds): 2 (3, 4) Skeins. 

DESIGNER RECOMMENDED YARN: Balance by O-Wool (50% Organic Merino Wool / 50% USA Organic Cotton; 50g/130yds): 3 (4, 6) Skeins.  Balance is 100% organic and has a slightly stiff hand until it is washed a few times.  It is a heathered yarn because the different fibers have taken the dye differently, so please expect some visual texture when using this yarn. This is a great yarn for warmer climates where freezing temperatures are not the norm.  If you desire a color that is not in stock, please contact us so that we can do a custom order for you (please allow 5 business days for shipping).

DESIGNER RECOMMENDED YARN: O-Wash Sport by O-Wool (100% Washable Organic Merino Wool; 100g/336 yds): 1 (2, 2) Skeins -AND- Kidsilk Haze by Rowan (70% Super Kid Mohair / 30% Silk; 25g/230 yds): 2 (2, 3) Skeins.  Hold the Kidsilk Haze alongside this solid colored sport weight yarn to create a beautiful halo on your piece.
